The Agonist

The Agonist (formerly known as The Tempest 2004-2007) was formed by guitarist Danny Marino, bassist Chris Kells, and vocalist Alissa White-Gluz in Montreal, Canada. Legal battles prompted the name change when they signed a record deal with Century Media Records. The Agonist is primarily known for Alissa White-Gluz unique voice and ability to use both clean vocals and growls and guitarist Danny Marino odd melodies and unorthodox chords often with wide intervals and octave displacements.
