The Agonist

The Agonist (formerly known as The Tempest 2004-2007) was formed by guitarist Danny Marino, bassist Chris Kells, and vocalist Alissa White-Gluz in Montreal, Canada. Legal battles prompted the name change when they signed a record deal with Century Media Records. The Agonist is primarily known for Alissa White-Gluz unique voice and ability to use both clean vocals and growls and guitarist Danny Marino odd melodies and unorthodox chords often with wide intervals and octave displacements. Let the lyrics often revolve around moral concerns such as animal rights, social dilemmas and the world situation.
